2026 National Bank Open Women’s Tournament in Toronto

The Canadian WTA 1000 returns to Toronto in 2026, with the women competing at Sobeys Stadium while the men play in Montreal. The tournament’s expanded format makes it a longer event than a traditional one-week tour stop and an important test before Cincinnati and the US Open.

Why the women are in Toronto

The Canadian Open alternates its men’s and women’s host cities. In even-numbered 2026, Toronto hosts the WTA draw and Montreal hosts the ATP draw, so fans should not mix the two schedules.

An expanded WTA 1000 format

The event uses the expanded 12-day model with a 96-player women’s singles draw. Early rounds therefore extend across several days before the tournament reaches the final stages.

Sobeys Stadium and local time

Women’s matches are staged at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto. This page converts stored start times to your timezone, which is useful when following the event outside Canada.

Toronto Draw and Schedule FAQ

Why does the draw appear gradually?

The official draw is confirmed close to the tournament, and each daily order of play is released separately. Upcoming matches will appear here as those details are captured.

Are singles and doubles mixed together?

No. The match board separates the 96-player singles competition from the women’s doubles draw and provides a filter for each.
