Status on August 1, 2026
The complete 2027 WTA calendar has not been published. The official WTA tournament calendar still shows 2026 as its latest selectable season. Three major-event date ranges are already official: the Australian Open, Roland-Garros and Wimbledon.
That distinction matters. A familiar tournament name, an event page prepared for a future year or a date copied forward from 2026 does not confirm a 2027 WTA tournament week. This guide separates organizer-confirmed dates from reasonable season expectations so you can plan without treating a forecast as a fixture list.

Has the 2027 WTA calendar been released?
No. As of August 1, 2026, the WTA had not published a complete season announcement or downloadable 2027 Tour calendar. Its official calendar page listed 2026 and earlier seasons, but not 2027.
Individual organizers can announce dates before the WTA releases its full schedule. That is why some 2027 women’s tennis dates are already usable even though the WTA 1000, WTA 500 and WTA 250 calendar remains incomplete. Grand Slam organizers control their own announcements, while those tournaments later appear within the broader women’s tennis season.
Be cautious with pages that accept “2027” in the URL. A future-year page may be part of a website’s technical structure but contain no event dates, status or draw. The presence of that URL is not an announcement. A confirmed listing should identify the year and date range in visible organizer content.
Once the Tour schedule is released, the WTA tournament directory will be the quickest way to browse events by date, category and location on this site.
Confirmed 2027 women’s tennis dates
The following date ranges come from the tournament organizers. The Australian Open and Roland-Garros publish broad festival windows that include qualifying or Opening Week, so their main-draw start dates are also shown.
| Tournament | Official 2027 window | What is confirmed | Surface |
|---|---|---|---|
| Australian Open | Jan. 11–31 | Opening Week Jan. 11–16; main draw begins Jan. 17; singles finals Jan. 30–31 | Hard |
| Roland-Garros | May 17–Jun. 6 | Window includes Opening Week; first-round sessions May 23–25; finals Jun. 5–6 | Clay |
| Wimbledon | Jun. 28–Jul. 11 | The Championships’ full published date range | Grass |
Australian Open: January 11–31
Tennis Australia announced the AO 2027 dates on March 23, 2026. Opening Week runs January 11-16 at Melbourne Park, and the main draw begins Sunday, January 17. The women’s and men’s singles finals are scheduled across January 30 and 31. For a viewer interested only in tour matches, January 17 is the more useful start marker; for a traveler interested in qualifying, practice and fan events, January 11 is relevant.
Roland-Garros: May 17–June 6
The tournament’s official travel and ticket information identifies May 17-June 6 as the overall Roland-Garros 2027 period. Opening Week comes first, followed by first-round sessions from May 23-25. The finals are listed for June 5-6. This is a good example of why calendar labels require context: the tournament window is longer than the main draw.
Wimbledon: June 28–July 11
Wimbledon’s official future-dates page lists June 28-July 11 for the 2027 Championships. Those dates are confirmed, but the WTA grass tournaments around Wimbledon had not yet been placed on a complete 2027 Tour calendar at the cutoff.
What is not confirmed yet
Most of the information fans expect from a WTA schedule remained pending on August 1. That includes exact weeks for Tour events, category changes, new or relocated tournaments and the full sequence around the majors.
- WTA 1000 dates: no complete official 2027 table of the top-tier events had been released.
- WTA 500 and WTA 250 dates: locations familiar from recent seasons should not be assumed to retain the same week or category.
- WTA 125 calendar: this developmental tier often receives additions and revisions separately from the main Tour schedule.
- US Open dates: a WTA page route for the 2027 edition existed, but the opened page did not display a 2027 date range. This guide therefore leaves the dates unconfirmed.
- WTA Finals: Indian Wells was announced as host for November 8-15, 2026. That announcement did not confirm the 2027 host or dates.
- Billie Jean King Cup and United Cup details: team-event schedules require their own organizer announcements and should not be inferred from a previous year.
Do not book from a projected date
Wait for an organizer or WTA page that explicitly names the 2027 edition and its date range. Player fields, tickets, television assignments and daily match times arrive later than the season calendar and can change independently.
When will the WTA calendar 2027 be released?
The WTA had not announced a 2027 calendar release date by August 1, 2026. There is also no reliable annual release day that can be calculated from the last two schedules.
What past release timing tells us
The WTA announced its 2025 Tour calendar on May 16, 2024. It announced the 2026 calendar on October 9, 2025. Those examples are almost five months apart on the annual clock, so they support only a broad conclusion: the next season’s main calendar can appear during the preceding year, but the month is variable.
It is reasonable to monitor WTA announcements through the second half of 2026. It would not be reasonable to promise that the calendar will arrive in August, September or October without a WTA notice. Tournament negotiations, venue arrangements and combined-event coordination can affect the release.
What counts as the official release
Look for a WTA press release naming the 2027 Tour calendar and a calendar page or PDF populated with 2027 tournaments. An ATP calendar is not a substitute. The tours share some combined events, but they also have different standalone tournaments, category structures and women’s event locations.
A credible release should let you verify tournament name, location, level, week and surface. Player entry lists, draws and orders of play are later layers of information, not part of the initial season-calendar confirmation.
Expected shape of the 2027 WTA season
The sequence below is a planning framework, not an official 2027 tournament list. It reflects the established flow of the women’s tennis season and the three majors whose dates are already confirmed. Individual events can move, change level, disappear or be added.
| Season phase | Reasonable expectation | Confirmation level |
|---|---|---|
| Early January | Australian and New Zealand hard-court preparation before Melbourne | Pattern only |
| Jan. 11–31 | Australian Open festival and main draw | Confirmed |
| February–March | Outdoor hard-court blocks, normally including Middle East and US swings | Pattern only |
| April–May | European clay preparation leading into Paris | Pattern only, except Roland-Garros |
| May 17–Jun. 6 | Roland-Garros including Opening Week | Confirmed |
| June–July | Grass-court events and Wimbledon | Wimbledon confirmed; surrounding Tour weeks pending |
| July–September | North American hard-court swing and the US Open | Pattern only |
| September–November | Asian tournaments followed by the season-ending championship | Pattern only |
The WTA’s long-term structure has emphasized ten WTA 1000 tournaments and more expanded premium events. That makes a broadly familiar sequence plausible in 2027, but it does not lock the same ten date ranges, host cities or draw details into place. For comparison only, see how the 2026 WTA 1000 schedule was organized.
One confirmed 2027 Tour-policy milestone
Although it is not a calendar date, 2027 is an important target in the WTA’s published prize-money strategy. In its 2023 calendar-structure announcement, the Tour committed combined WTA 1000 and WTA 500 events to attaining equal prize money by 2027. The stated target for single-week WTA 1000 and WTA 500 events is later, in 2033.
This does not mean every WTA tournament will offer the same purse in 2027, and it does not confirm the prize money for a particular event. “Combined” refers to tournaments where men’s and women’s competitions operate together. Exact prize funds still need event-specific announcements.
The milestone is relevant because calendar design, event format and commercial commitments are connected. It is still important to keep policy claims separate from date claims when reading early previews.
How to track and save the final schedule
- Check the season view: revisit the WTA calendar and confirm that the selected year says 2027.
- Verify the event: open the tournament directory and confirm the year, dates, city, level and surface.
- Wait for the draw: do not infer a player’s first match from the tournament start date. Seeds can receive byes, qualifying starts earlier and withdrawals can alter the field.
- Use the daily schedule: near match day, check today’s WTA matches for court assignments, scores and status.
- Check ranking impact later: the WTA singles rankings reflect results after the relevant update.
If an official downloadable 2027 calendar or printable file becomes available, confirm its revision date before saving it. A PDF is a snapshot; a live tournament calendar can receive later changes. Match times also require a timezone and should never be copied from a season overview without checking the daily order of play.
Frequently asked questions
Is the full 2027 WTA schedule available?
No. It was not available on the official WTA tournament calendar as of August 1, 2026.
When is the 2027 WTA calendar release date?
The WTA had not announced one. Recent calendars were released at different points in the preceding year, so there is no dependable exact month.
Which 2027 tennis dates are already confirmed?
The Australian Open runs January 11-31 including Opening Week, Roland-Garros runs May 17-June 6 including Opening Week, and Wimbledon runs June 28-July 11.
Are the 2027 US Open dates confirmed?
Not in the official sources used for this August 1 update. A WTA future-year page without visible 2027 dates is not enough to confirm the tournament window.
Where will the 2027 WTA Finals be played?
No 2027 host or date was confirmed in the WTA announcements reviewed. Indian Wells and November 8-15 apply to the 2026 Finals only.
Is there an official WTA calendar 2027 PDF?
No complete official 2027 WTA PDF was available at the research cutoff. Avoid downloads that simply shift 2026 events onto new dates without organizer confirmation.
Can I use the ATP 2027 calendar for WTA dates?
Only as a clue for a combined event, never as the complete women’s schedule. The ATP and WTA have different standalone tournaments and must publish their own calendar information.
